Affordable beach getaway with a twist

The apartment was spacious and clean, situated close to shops and beautiful beaches. The swimming pool area was a lovely oasis for relaxation.

We had to navigate a busy road to reach our apartment, slightly inconvenient. The kitchenette could have used more utensils, and a microwave would have been welcome.

Had a spacious apartment with great pool vibes, but the kitchen was super bare.

Delicious English breakfast, quietness, friendly staff, cleanless.

Quite overpriced for just basic facilities provided. Despite I asked for extra bed for my child at the time of the booking, nothing was prepared to our arrival.

This place started off okay, but then I found the walls so thin that I could hear my neighbors' conversations-horrifying. The bathroom was lacking hot water for almost my entire stay, very disappointing! Honestly, I expected some kind of upgrade for all the trouble. May have reviewed positively, but just couldn't.

Captain Karas is placed near a lovely little beach. Its staff is kind and friendly. Room has a huge terrace faced on the swimming pool. Clean and really well equipped. The restaurant prepares lovely fresh fish dishes for a convenient price. The best dinner in the area.

Great swimming pool and good location so close to Ayia Napa and Protaras, and the Pig & Whistle English pub which the Karas family also own, along with the Karas Greek Taverna which is next door on the other side, and which is run by the Karas brothers. Cheap and astonishing breakfast with lots of delicacies and excellent staff.

No elevator.

My room was ideal and big size. The location was marvellous and lovely, within walking distance of Kapparis Beach. I was there before and would not hesitate to return there...

10+ rating for the cook team: great, excellent prepared food. 10+ for the staff: friendly, professional, speaking several languages. 10+ for the owners: friendly and careful. 10+ for the swimming pool. 10+ for music: greek at restaurant, 70-80's hits at pool bar, not too loud. 10 for room size: big and confortable. 10 for ambient. 10 for location: within few minutes walk to supermarket, car/bikes rental center, bus station, bank, atm, pubs, sea border. Very good WiFi and gsm phone signal. Overall, I had a really great time there, for sure I will come back asap.

What I didn't liked are related to my room: too small balcony and a poor view: a martian-red, dusty construction site. Fortunately, there are only three rooms with this view and, on the other hand, I had no intention to spend the day sitting there looking outside. Not related with the hotel itself: there is only one ATM around which might be out-of-order on the evening; there is no pharmacy. To find others, you will have to go to Paralimni or Protaras.

The location was perfect, just a short walk from beautiful beaches, and the apartment was spacious and clean. I really appreciated the lovely pool area and the daily cleaning service that exceeded my expectations.

Nothing not too like.

Spacious apartments feature decent storage for luggage and clothes, with a lovely pool area providing a calm retreat for relaxation.

Maintenance issues were evident, including a refrigerator that barely cooled and air conditioning units that faltered towards the end of the stay. The kitchen setup was quite sparse, lacking essential utensils such as a spatula and strainer, and a microwave would have been a functional addition. The shower pressure left much to be desired, and some rooms showed signs of neglect.

The location is perfect for exploring nearby beaches. A ceiling wet spot affected our comfort .

Had a great stay at Captain Karas! Super spacious studio, awesome pool bar with cheap food, and very friendly staff. Cleaning was on point! Only downside was the busy road, but overall, it was a fab experience. Can't wait to come back!
